Top 5 tips for younger skin


Sometimes life can really interfere with your skin. If you're tired of having older looking, sagging skin you need to make sure you're eating the right foods. Forget surgery, forget all those lotions and potions and we're told help to reduce wrinkles. It makes sense that what you put inside you will have the real impact, not what you put on you. It's been scientifically proven that your skin need antioxidants such as vitamin C, E and A. These tackle what are known as free radicals. Free radicals break down the skin's tissue.

  1. Vitamin E: Excellent for skin smoothing properties and fighting free radicals. You'll find it in oily seeds such as sunflower seeds, papaya, soya, corn and oil.
  2. Vitamin C: This vitamin repairs and strengthens skin - it's got collagen boosting properties. Eat strawberries, kiwi fruits, bell peppers, cherries and pink grapefruits.
  3. Thiamine: This vitamin maintains cellular functions in the skin. Eat potatoes, oranges, brown rices, watermelon and eggs.
  4. Zinc: Cell growth is essential for healthy skin, and rejuvinating properties. Eat mushrooms, spinach, and all sorts of seeds.
  5. Selenium: This mineral is the main producer of glutathione which is the best at fighting free radicals. Eat brazil nuts, scallops, lamb, broccoli and cabbage.
